Just want to quick say "hi" to anyone that might still be around. I am sorry to not have been entering more on my blogg. I just am still having a hard time getting back in the creative flow. I am starting to work at Christmas cards and have made a few Birthday cards so I will try to post them sometime next month. Please come back. I do miss working on this stuff, but it has been hard when I didn't know what to do with all the cards I had. My card stash is now getting under control and I have NO men's cards, so I think I am going to start making them when I need them.

A Few More and a Promise

Ok, so here is a few more oldies that I hope I have not shared. I promise next week to add a couple of Graduation cards. I am going to 2 parties this weekend. (one for my Niece and one for my Great Nephew) I HAVE to get them made in the next two nights. I have a plan, I just have to do it and make sure to take a few pictures.

Just thought I would stop in with a little hello to see if anyone is out there yet. I have been away for quite sometime. Not because I don't love to make cards but rather just not sure where to go from here. I had been stamping to be in a craft sale last fall, and when I didn't sell much I was left with a bundle of card. It kind of made me question if I should make anymore. I love it but I just don't need any. I have doing other projects and I am hoping to still do a card from time to time but not to the degree I had been.
I also was a member of a DT when this all went down, and it seems to have fallen apart. The head of the DT were having family issues and it seems never to have gotten back together.
Well, I hope to start doing a bit better here. I am posting a few old cards. I hope you haven't seen and will try to get some new ones up once and awhile.

Well, another special birthday for this month. A good friend and co-worker is 50 tomorrow. I didn't want to rub it in so I only used a bit of black and pink is her favorite color. Hi everyone....Or anyone who is left coming to my blog. I know it has been a long while. I don't know what happened. I just stopped making things. Not buying just making. That just isn't good. I have 2 wonderful people to send Birthday cards to this month so I am joining in a couple of challenges and dusting off my creativity and getting back to stamping. This is one of my first cards since Christmas. It is for my niece and God-daughter that turns 18 on the 15th. She loves to ski and I thought she might like this one. Hope so I bought this image with her in mind. Hope you all like it and will come back for more.

I was one card short this year for Christmas card so the lucky winner was.....My boss. I quick did this one up for her yesterday. I followed the Friday Sketch this week so I could enter it. Sorry that I have been away for awhile. I have just needed a break from card making and since I had a stock of cards and was not sure what to do with them all, I just didn't seem to want to make any. I am starting to get back to it. I know my DT has been out of it too, so I hope to start that one up again. Kraftin Kimmie Challenge #51

Here is my entry for the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge this week. I use this great sketch from Michele and worked with a new stamp for me. I got this stamp about two months ago and haven't had a chance to try it out. It is called Snow White but I think it works great as a gal that is going to the ball. I used pink again. I think it was because I was doing other pink cards and just kept going and going.....lol. Hope you like it.

Looks like I had enough time for a few more Challenges this week. I worked this one out using The Magnolia "Think Pink" Challenge and the Friday Sketch of the week. Hopefully it is ok to combine the two. I think they worked out great. It was tough to keep everything, or as much as I could, pink, but in the end I like it. Not one I will send to my niece though....She hates pink. Hope you all like it. I used SU designer paper, and of course this great Magnolia from last year.

Hi Everyone,
This feels so great to actually get to do some challenges this week. I have been swamped with both work and a sale that I am participating in on Saturday, but I am feeling more ready and able to stray a bit to these fun challenges. Last night I made 2 great cards. This one is for the Digital pencil Two Challenge, Color of fall and a sketch from Cute Card Thursday. I think it turned out great. I used my copic, of course, and basic grey paper. the corners are punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I dressed it up with pearls. This image from DP2 always makes me think of my sisters. The only thing is it needs 3 girls.

Nutshells Challenge #24 /Saturday Sketch #119

I used this great Sketch from Jeanette for the Saturday and Nutshell challenge this week. Both were great fun challenges. This week Nutshells are introducing a great set called Pretty in Pink. and is pare of the Breast Cancer Awareness cause. They are digi images and are helping to raise money for the cause. The Challenge is to think PINK. Yep, to qualify you can use any image that Nutcrafter sells and create a pink card.
I also created this image using a sketch from the Sketch Saturday challenge. It was fun and worked out great with this image. Their sponser this week is Kraftin Kimmie, one of my favorite, so stop on over and give it a try.

This week KK has this great Sketch by Donna. I so love these stamps and this is one of the new ones that I just bought. I don't usually do hair color in the blacks thinking that they will turn out looking old and gray but I think this one works. I found these great papers in my stash from Basic Gray and went with the green. I hope you like it.

Here is a great new image from Nutcrafters. Just in time for Back to School. I came upon these colors by accident. I was picking out what colors to do and there they were. I love the red and Baja breeze together. Nutshells Challenge this week is School Days and their is a great prize so make sure to stop on over and join in the fun!

The Greeting Farms Anniversary BLOG HOP

I am so excited. The Greeting Farms is having this BIG blog hop which includes all it's DT and customers. They are celebrating their 2nd anniversary and introducing some new stuff. I just got this great stamp last week and this is the first chance for me to use it. I have been wanting it since it came out. NutCrafters Fun

Well, it seems that I have just been "out of it". I haven't stamped in about a week and a half and I am away for the weekend. I hope to get back on track next week and do some challenges and start hitting and visiting some blogs. I have been fighting with what I thought to be strep throat and now have found out it is some kind of nose think. Hopefully the, very strong, drugs they put me on will do the trick. I made this card about 2 weeks ago for my neighbor. She has a grandson that just got his divers license. Hope you like it. I ended coloring his hair brown. I waited til I know the color of her grandson's hair.

This bi-weekly challenge, USE A MOJO MONDAY SKETCH, is a fun one. I hope you like it. I used one of the Mojo Monday sketches from last week. I got the dates mixed up and thought I needed to get this one out last week. I still think it will work. I really liked the sketch but I did modify it a bit because I turned it into a A2 card instead of a square. I LOVE the square cards but I know that it will be cheaper to send this way.
I used my new stamp from Nutcrafters that is not even out in their store yet, so if you like it keep looking back it will be out soon. It is from their Ice cream collection. I love ice cream treats...how about you. Great for a card to the girfriends.

Just Magnolia #62 Criss Cross Card

Hi all, this weeks challenge over on Just Magnolia is to try a Criss Cross Card. Now I have seen these around alot and have been wanting to try one but have not done it yet, so I thought...this is the time. I started by selecting my image and coloring. I then made this great card using SU Perfect Plum cardstock and dp. I found that the image fit better by turning the card. I added a tab, flower and Bella drops. The flower was a white flower but I used my inkpad from SU and painted it. I think it turned out great and will use that tech. again.

KLSNS Challenge #34

I saw this Tilda around and had to get her. She is just so cute. I think this purple and black look great together and works perfect for the pirate. I did not have an X and really wanted to use one on this so I created this one using a large number one stamp. I was really pleased with it. I think it looks like a old mapped out X. I also added a hatched line to the paper to give the impression of a map and dew drops. I hope it shows up on the paper.

Just purchased this great gal from Mo. I love these fun School children. I wanted to use some funky colors and I hope things all match up. I used the Saturday Sketch but changed it up a bit by making it a A2 card so that it was easier to send in the US. I think I should have used eggplant instead of black for the papers to match her sweater better. I may go back and fix it. Maybe use my black copic on the sweater.

Wow, I made it. I have been trying to get on track with entering a Sugar Bowl again and it looks like I did it. Now if I would not have mixed up the other Challenge I was entering we would be good. I love the way these came out. The color combo it great...thanks other challenge and this sketch was wonderful to work with. A bit of a challenge with the odd shape but I had fun figuring it out. I didn't have a Nestie this shape.

Digital Pencil Too #36/Cute Card Thursday #116

Hi everyone.....
I did some stamping last night. I had some fun with these 2 challenges and they worked so well together. Digital Pencil Too's challenge this week was to use a dry embossing and I used a great hatch emboss on my cuttle bug. I thought it gave the card manly touch and would work perfect. Cute Card Thursday had this great sketch design that worked great with my pirate. I added some words to the red paper. I hope you all can see them. they say, "well, blow me down" I was hoping to see them more but it gives it some texture anyway.

Oh, how cute this little image is. It is from Nutcrafter's and worked out perfectly for their great Challenge this week, Father's Day card. There are a group of 3 wonderful images that work perfect for Father's Day. My father passed away about 17 years now so I wasn't too interested in this challenge at first but then I thought.....I have 6 great brothers who are all excellent fathers. I will have to send this to one of them. I am also entering this in the Saturday Sketch Challenge. I love a good sketch and this one is great. I was challenged with the punches on the bottom. I didn't want anything to girly but I ended up liking these together.

Wow 3 entries today....I guess you can tell, I had a stamping day this weekend. This one is an entry that I did for Friday sketch. I ment to have this one done for SFS Last week being I got this fabulous image from the challenge there. I do love it. The frog is great. This is my first attempt at a challenge with LOTV and it is also my first time using one of their stamps. I fell in love with this one when I saw it on several blogs and had to purchase it. I think I am going to have to get a few of their new ones soon. I this this is such a beautiful image for weddings. I tried to pair it with a great plumb color. I wanted to be different then pink...Which is the way I wanted to go. I like the bit of difference.

This is one of my great images from Nutcrafters. I am always in need of great Wedding Cards and I think this one turned out great. I love the sentiment that I just got from Amuse. Hi everyone, this week for the nutshells challenge it was anything goes. We were free to create anything that we liked. I chose this great image, Pink Frosting that is now available in the stores as a Stamp set. This set was so popular that they decided to offer it in stamp form and not just a digi. I chose to go with a color some what different from the Pink Name just to mix it up a bit. Make sure to hope on over the the Nutshell blog and join us this week. We will have the challenge open until June 15th so there is plenty of time to get that card done.

I started this one out with a sketch that I had seen somewhere. I like the use of the different blocks and at first I wanted to go white on white. I didn't really like it and added the pink in with it. I wanted to use the cake most of all. It is great, isn't it.

This week over on Nutshells we have another great challenge for you all. This time we are asked to do a card using polka dots and/or stripes. It was great fun. I love dots and stripes so this wasn't much of a "challenge" for me...I use them all the time. This little cutie is from the Nutcrafter site. It is one of my first from them but I love her she makes me think of a retro, hip gal. I hope you all can join us this week. There will be a special mystery prize for this challenge and you will have 2 weeks to enter.

Just Magnolia #53 Challenge

Here is my entry for the JM Challenge this week. I used my new Tilda and I know that pink isn't unique for a princess but I had to do the first one that way. I used Bev's wonderful Sketch but changed it into a smaller card. Better for mailing. I love how this one turned out, so girly.

KLSNS Challenge #27 - Naturals

This weeks challenge over at KLSNS is to use Natural colors: Green, Brown and Kraft. I used this cute stamp that is from Kelly's store, Isabelle and puppy coco. Hope you enjoy this one. I have enjoyed my work as a DT with KLSNS and although this is my last work for the DT I am hoping to do some of there challenges in the future. Stampin' N' Scrappin' Tutorial:Paper Cones

This is my turn at Stampin' N' Scrappin' for a tutorial and I decided to do Paper Cones for May day. I thought that being May Day is fast approaching that these paper cones would work great for May Day baskets for friends and loved ones. I put a little bit of elegance in them by using more fancy papers and decorations.

PREPARING THE CONE:
Starting with a 12x12 pattern paper, Trace a half circle on the opposite side of the design.
(I used a plate for my template.)

Cut out the half circle then mark the center of the straight side.

Trim approximately 1/4 of the half circle. ( Cut from center out)
Using double sided tape, tape the one straight side on none pattern side. Flip paper over and add a small piece of tape to the top of the pattern side.Roll paper into a cone shape pattern side out and tape together. (may want to roll first to shape cone)
ADDING EMBELLISHMENTS:
Using punches, laces. etc. cut an 11" strip. Using strong adhesives such as double sided tape, glue dots etc., add adhesive to top of strip. (Glue Dots worked best for me)
Line up strip along top of cone and adhere and wrap around cone. (bottom of strip will not lay flat)If using a handle, add another 11" strip by securing each end with adhesive to the inside of top of cone.Embellish your cone with: ribbon, brads, jewels, etc.

KLSNS Challeng #26 - Bling it On!

This weeks challenge over at KLSNS is Bling it On. I was challenged this week by what stamp to use. I really wanted to use this little guy, Chuck but I need to be "blingie" and I didn't know if that quite fit eachother. In the end I think it worked out. I love the image and I think it looks fine to add some gems and sparkle to the little alien. I don't know if it shows up so well but I also used crystal effects on the eyeballs.

KLSNS Challenge #25 - Organic

This weeks challenge over on KLSNS is hosted by me. I hope you will all find it interesting. I decided to do an Organic challenge. Being it is close to Earth Day I thought what better way to celebrate than to get people outdoors or at least thinking about things in the outdoors. I personally started my cards by going on a walk, picking things up in the yard, and then creating them back to my craft room. I ended up throwing half of it back into nature but there were a few things that seemed to be interesting. I used some seeds from marigolds that I planted last year. and some twigs for these two cards.

CHALLENGES: Friday Sketch #95 & Kraftin' Kimmie #24

Here are my challenges for this weeks Friday Sketch and Kraftin' Kimmie. I had a hard time with the sketch being I did not have large Oval dies. But I hope I came close enough for the challenge. I used my Nesties to cut out the image and the frame around the image which works for the KK challenge of using punches or dies. I bought this image from Kraftin Kimmie awhile ago and just haven't had the chance to use it. I love the artsy look of it and thought it looked great with my new Basic Gray paper form KLSNS. I created the paint splashes background with a gel pen.

KLSNS Challenge #24 - Recipe

Yep, that makes this a 123 Recipe challenge. I haven't done many recipe cards but this was fun. I decided to use this cute little Hockey player from High Hopes, Goalie Gregg. I think he is great for a boys card which sometimes can be hard to make. I also used a sketch from a passed challenge. I am not sure which one but liked it and missed using it for the challenge.

2-IN-1 CHALLENGE: Cute Card Thursday #105 & Sketch Saturday #96

Time for another Challenge. I put these two together thinking that they went well an came out loving the results. I just got this image from Mo and I think she is adorable. I went with the typical pink for the first one, I will mix it up later.
The two challenges that I did were for CCR which was to use Dimensions. Not to hard for me because I use them all the time. I popped out the sentiment here. I guess I could have done more but I like this. I also am enting in the Sketch Saturday. This will be my first entry with them. I love working with sketches so I am looking forward to doing a lot of them.

KLSNS Challenge #22 - In a Box

Hi everyone...Here is my entry for this weeks KLSNS challenge, In a Box. We were asked this week to create a box and decorate it. I am not all that great with boxes. First off I have no kids so the use for them is minimal. I know that you all use them for school treats and such. I also have trouble making them. Usually they are off in someway. I did however make one yesterday from a pattern over on SCS and it was great. IT WAS JUST TO SMALL. I couldn't decorate it with any of my cut stamps from KLSNS. So I resorted to this one that is from SU. I got a pack that you punch out. Yes, ladies I cheated there. I did however do all the decorating myself. I almost couldn't fit this stamp on, but I think it turned out cute. I am going to use it as a ...just because box for a friend. I hope you like it.

KLSNS Challenge #22 - Stitching

Well, here is the great new challenge over at KLSNS this week. We have been given the challenge of "stitching". Yes, I thought....wow an easy one. I love to stitch and I know how to use a sewing machine...I have been sewing since I was 10. I have made cloths, pillows......you name it. I have even done a few cards. I am ready. Well, not this time. Seems that each time I get on the new sewing machine that I got for Christmas something comes up. This time I wanted to use some of the great unique stitches that this baby has to offer....I ended up breaking a needle...oops. Then I thought I broke the machine when I couldn't get the needle to stop hitting the pressure foot. Low and behold. I figured it out. Took longer. Used simpler stitches. BUT I got it done. I hope you like this little patriotic card.

Ok, on to the Challenge. You will have until next Friday, March 26th to come over to KLSNS and enter your wonderful stitched card. (remember the sewing machine is your friend.) Please join us we, the DT, love to see what you create.

Just Magnolia #46 - Sketch

Well, this week it seems I have more time and I am feeling better so I decided to do a few challenges. The first is this lovely sketch from Just Magnolia. I try to make it over there to do challenges but seem to fall short at doing them each week. I love Magnolias and I am going to try to do better.
I got this cute Tilda around Christmas time, colored her and being I had my Christmas Cards done, left her. Now I though this would work for this sketch. I also thought she would be ok as something other then Christmas.

KLSNS Challenge #21

Well, another week, another challenge. This one from KLSNS is a sketch challenge from me great DT mate, Jacilynn. I changed it up just a bit to fit a smaller card but other then that I think I stayed with the basics. This is one of my new stamps that is from KL Stampin' N' Scrappin'. I have noticed others using her and think she is great so I had to have her myself. I chose some different combinations of colors here but I was trying to get the feel of the Japanese paper I used. I made this card for my friends Birthday on Sunday and she loves the Oriental look.

Friday Sketch #92

ok, I said I would be back and I almost forgot. I wanted to enter this card for the Friday Sketch Challenge so I just uploaded it right away...now I have more time to talk about it. I just got this great stamp for Kraftin' Kimmie and had to use it. Isn't she great. I wanted to choose different colors and saw this great pieces from MME. I think they work out wonderful for the Pirate image. I did not have the correct copic colors so I used some combinations of them and I think they worked out better then If I had perfect colors. The pants I used BG72 and went over it with YG91, it really gived it the old washed look. Anyway this one was fun to do. Hope you like it.

This weeks Challenge at KLSNS is BUTTONS. We are asked to use buttons on our cards. I chose this cute image from CC Design that is available at the KL Stampin' N' Scrappin' store. I also used this glass glitter that Kelly has in the store also. I love the great way it shines but I would color the balloon beforehand next time. I think it would work a bit better. I am amazed at how this stuff looks and works.

This weeks challenge for KLSNS is a wonderful sketch by our great DT member Risa. I used a great stamp from the KL store, Lucy and Kitty, it is a Sara Kay and is so sweet. I wanted to use some of my Basic Grey paper and this pink just stood out. I also wanted to use my new sewing machine so this is my first try with stitching on paper.

KLSNS Challenge #18 - Go Green!

Well, it is time for another great Challenge over at KLSNS. This week is a "Go Green" recycle theme. Use what you have. In this challenge I used a few scrap papers to cut out Hearts and to stamp my image on. This image is so cute, it is from KL stores and is a C.C. Design, Shy Kiki. I also wanted to use the newspaper. I have a whole bag ready to put out to recycle so I swiped a couple of pages. I stared with a strip and tried to fold and tar it but I didn't like the effect, I may have to try that again sometime, but I ended up seeing the answers to the suduko and crossword puzzles and thought that would be fun. I also used hearts that I had cut out to give to someone and forgot and buttons off an old shirt.

I chose not to do the traditional Valentine though but I still love the color combination and don't think to use it unless it is around Valentine's day.

As I am writing this I am hurting a bit. As you all know there has been so not so great weather in this area and on my way into work today...I "biffed it" Yes, I fell. I am fine, just a bit sore tonight so I am going to make this shot.

KLSNS Challenge #16 Paper Tole Technique

Hi everyone, It is time for the next KLSNS Challenge. This week the Challenge is Paper Tole Technique. If you are confused, you are not alone. I was not quite sure what that was either. Here is the discription that I got: A duplicate of an image is stamped on a different paper, colored and carefully cut out. This duplicate is then mounted on top of the original with foam mounts, causing it to be raised (3D) and enhancing the natural shape. This is not simply paper piecing... it's popping parts of the image up higher.

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge-Aperture

This week I had a tough time getting challenges done. I think it had something to do with the book I have been reading.....lol

I did however, manage to get this one done. It just so happens that I was working on this one for a Birthday for a friend and all I needed to do was to finish it.

I used the great image from Kraftin' Kimmie, Piper and a great tri-fold that I found a tutorial for.
I love the fold but it made me want to go out and buy the Scor-pal. I am now looking into it.

Hi everyone, here is my new challenges for the week. I am entering this with the Friday Sketch which is becoming one of my favorites. I love following a sketch and my very first entry for Kraftin' Kimmie. I have ordered a number of their stamps and colored a bunch but this is one of my first whole cards. I love it. This Challenge is for Spoon Full of Sugar (Recipe), Copic Colour Challenge (B97, YG07, W5), Copic Creations (Ethnic tone Skin) and Digital Pen 2 (Sketch)Wow, this one worked for a lot of different challenges. This image is from Mo at Digital Pen and although I bought this image a long time ago this is the first time I used it. I think this image is great but was a bit harder to color then I thought, with all those stars. I found the opportunity to color it with the 3 colors for copic colour and the layout worked out great. I hope you enjoy it.

KLSNS Challenge #12 and Friday Sketch

Hi everyone time for a new challenge. Today I am participating in the new KLSNS Challenge which is a color challenge brought to you by Risa. We are limited to Pink, Black and a natural. I chose to use this new stamp from KL Store called Bunny Love it is a wonderful stamp made by High Hopes, isn't it cute. I colored it in using Copic markers and used a sketch from the Friday Sketch blog. I thought I would make the post for that one but forgot that I would not be able to post until Saturday. I still like the design so I am ok with missing Friday Sketch. Maybe next time.

Here is my entry for the Sugar Bowl Challenge. I had to get on this weeks Challenge it was so fun. I added the dog from another company but I thought it fit with the boy. was wishing I had a darker blue paper for the background. I think it would have gone better. I guess that is added to my list. The color I picked works ok, better then it looks.

VC Challenge #27 - Sketch

First off, sorry about the coloring. I took 3 pictures this morning and all were not great. I tweaked this in photoshop but the coloring is still not that great. The little girls dress is white and pink, I know the pink isn't showing up but when I got it to, the purple was ruined.
Anyway, this is my entry for VC challenge this week. It was a sketch to follow. I found I need some pattern paper in purple. I thought it turned out well though. I did turn the sketch. I though the monster fit better this way.
